I think stricter validation should only be added to 1.3 so that 1.2 LTS behaviour remains stable.

Intel QAT works for CRUX brunch. As for rolling with the newest kernel 5.8.5, it seems some issues on the modules building stage.

Issue seems to be related to quote handling. OS seems to have version as 1.2.5 and GRUB file shows "1.2.5". show system image reflects the GRUB name. If I manually remove the quotes from the GRUB file, I can successfully rename and delete the image.
@c-po I build qat manually but add --enable-qat-lkcf to https://github.com/vyos/vyos-build/blob/crux/packages/linux-kernel/build-intel-qat.sh#L55 and it seems it works

Yup, the same situation: It's there on LTS but not on nightly. Also nonexistent functionality on frr, so it can go from the completions too. (Although the CLI files are still in the vyatta-op-quagga repo.)
However it still seems to be stuck in reset on nightly:
$ reset ip bgp foo rsclient % Unknown command: clear ip bgp foo rsclient
I have removed show ip bgp scan for the upcoming 1.2.6 release.

There can not be a config migrator, thus the setting will be changed to "prefer" (default) which will not break any client implementations

So I fixed this on my setup by kill -9 conntrackd
and then sudo /etc/init.d/conntrackd start

32-bit Xen PV support was dropped recently from upstream Linux kernel 5.9.
64-bit Xen PV is still supported in upstream Linux kernel.

This is not solved in 1.2.6-epa1. Will this be solved in 1.2.6?

Just an update on this... I _had_ two systems with this problem, but have found a possible workaround?
Successfully tested on VyOS 1.2.6-epa1

The main idea to add some automation logic for calculation:
