Description

Need to perform certain monitoring and actions inside VyOS
instead of implementing something from scratch we should go with monit

I see several use cases for it:

  • resources monitoring and notifications
  • advanced scheduling
  • network related tests (for vrrp health monitor)

There are more use cases for it, apart from listed above so it gives even more flexibility
