It looks like something was changed or added recently that broke my configuration on releases after 1.5-rolling-202312130023; this version boots fine, but anything newer fails with seemingly indecipherable errors on boot.
I've attached a sanitized configuration that I believe should load, but there may be some typos I missed.
I tried manually loading this config in a VM and I'm still not sure what's causing the issue, maybe something isn't waiting properly for bonded interfaces to be created?:
