The simplest—and perhaps most crude—way to accomplish this may be to restart the vyos-domain-resolver service. This will automatically update the FQDN cache, remote groups, and restart the timer for regular pull intervals.

I've got a task and PR opened for this same issue. T7177 and #4351. It looks like the same constraint is used for interface-groups and zone members and a number of other things.
