A simple fix to the underlying function of exposed get_path_owner util: argument should be a reference tree path, instead of trying to adjust on the fly, as the function refpath is not iterable (unlike refpath_from_partial). Though the latter could be used, it is preferable to convert the path once, as owner depends only on the reference tree path.
