Description

When installing VyOS 1.4 onto a system with very large disks (3.8TB in this example) the initial installation is pretty slow as we wait for the entire array to sync up.

It would be nice for the user to see a progress indicator like in VyOS 1.3 - or beeing asked if the array should be created in the foreground (wait until completion) or background (reduced performance but continue with installation, sync happens in the background).

A progress is shown in VyOS 1.3.8 indicating a drive/raid sync

No progress is displayed to the user - it could be read from a second tty
