The simple carriage return progress bar routines we have under vyos.utils.io are very fragile and prone to staircasing if the terminal is shrunk during an operation, as the line will wrap over and the carriage return will return the cursor to the beginning of the next line every line, causing a harmless but very ugly phenomenon that fills up the terminal window.
