The hostname returned by SNMP was not changed after using set system host-name.
The hostname did change after I changed some other SNMP setting and committed that.
I assume the snmpd service had to be restarted.

I've added SNMP restart on hostname change, it will be in the next nightly build.
Could you verify if restart is needed, or reload is sufficient? Perhaps we can make it somewhat less disruptive than full daemon restart.
Ok, ignore it, I decided not to be a lazy butt and test it myself. ;)
Reload is not enough, restart is needed, so the fix should be complete.
