I've been going over my configs repeatedly and GRETAP just won't come up. This was working previously with an Ubiquiti router (based on VyOS) and I mimicked the configuration in the 1.5 setup. I even tried labeling the tunnel number as zero instead of one in case "tun0" wasn't implied by the tunnel number. I keep seeing interface errors on tun0 increment. I also can't ping the local side of the interface. On the other side, I can ping its local side. The IPSEC session and IKE both establish, it's the GRETAP tunnel that has the issue. I can post more details upon request.

I was pounding my head against a wall trying to get GRETAP working only to find that one small step was left out of the configuration instructions. One has to set the address of interface loopback lo to the source address specified in the tunnel. Please update your documentation.
