Once this task is solved, QoS documentation should include a subsection about NAT, explaining the procedure for both outbound and inbound traffic.

We found one case when it does work (for both Crux and 1.3), which can lead to further investigation: when the policy is applied to a PPPoE client interface and the class traffic is matched with the command naming the subinterface (the first of the 3 options above).

For the time being I have created a document with the current limited possibilities.
It was all a confusion on interface naming. When Cisco says Ethernet, they mean an Ethernet interface of 10M, that's not the case for VyOS. In VyOS eth means the interface uses the Ethernet protocol, but it could have any speed.

I guess it'll be easy to integrate it into VyOS CLI, as it exists in FRR.

Good. Things are getting better. Thank you @ronie
Currently the only application of VyOS LDP is as P router (backbone router in an MPLS cloud).

I am giving up with HFSC. I have been studying it for a long time, I have tested it in many different ways, without VyOS too. The only thing I have found is that this is is not a problem of VyOS.
Jul 24 2020
I thought the problem could be related to VyOS, but now I have found the same behavior when using directly tc hfsc.

For every test I have done, I think it is worth it.

I have tested it in a simple configuration of zone-based firewall with both Crux and Rolling and everything worked ok.

I have checked and fixed bandwidth default units for Limiter, Network Emulator, Rate Control,
Shaper and Shaper HFSC.

By the way, shouldn't we better talk through slack? : )
I tested on PPPoE the simple configuration I gave you on slack. It works perfectly, delay goes down for interactive traffic and bulk flows are distributed fairly.
@c-po I have never tested QoS on PPPoE in my lab. I'm having a look and come back to you.
Hey @zsdc , thanks for having a look into it.

It is already in the manual. Not at the Troubleshooting section, but at Configuration Overview.

That was done.
