Version: VyOS 2026.09.16-0028-rolling (amd64).
Summary: The uptime column of show pppoe-server sessions renders sessions older than one day as D.HH:MM:SS (e.g. 1.10:32:56) and sessions under one day as HH:MM:SS (e.g. 21:37:09). The dot separator is undocumented and easy to misparse.
Evidence:
ifname | username | ip | ... | uptime ppp6 | 18054251887 | 10.254.1.207 | ... | 1.10:32:56 <- 1 day 10h 32m ppp4 | 13570358624 | 10.254.9.202 | ... | 21:37:09 <- 21h 37m (same field, different format)
Impact: a downstream management tool parsing this column treated every session older than 24h as "0 seconds online" -- 18 of 28 live sessions were displayed with a bogus uptime, which severely misled operations.
Expected: unambiguous rendering (e.g. 1d10:32:56) or explicit documentation of the format.
Suggested fix: format the column in the op-mode script, or document it in the CLI reference.
