Summary

Add an optional Telegraf input that reports the VyOS system images installed on the router. For each image it would flag which one is currently running and which one is the default boot entry. Monitoring stacks could then track VyOS version distribution across a fleet and alert on deprecated versions.

Use case

• To make a dashboard view with version distribution by version of the fleet
• To be able to alert (with alert manager for example) if a deprecated version is deployed or still running
