The validate GitHub Actions workflow on vyos-documentation has been failing on every PR since at least 2026-08-14. The failure is in the "Sparse-checkout branches.json
from reviewer" step, which uses actions/checkout to pull refs/heads/reviewer-v1.0.4* / refs/tags/reviewer-v1.0.4* from VyOS-Networks/vyos-docs-opus-reviewer:

The process '/usr/bin/git' failed with exit code 1

GET /repos/VyOS-Networks/vyos-docs-opus-reviewer currently returns 404 (Not Found) — the repo appears to be missing, renamed, or no longer accessible. The fetch retries
3x (10s/16s backoff) and then the job fails; all subsequent steps ("Resolve docs-branch to vyos-1x branch", "Checkout vyos-1x at mapped branch", "Pass 1 — deterministic
checks", "Pass 2 — Claude review", etc.) are skipped as a result.

Since validate is a required-looking status check, this means no PR on vyos-documentation gets the automated deterministic/Claude review pass right now — reviewers are
working purely on manual review.

Affected PRs observed with this failure: vyos/vyos-documentation#2193, #2195, #2227 (all failing since their respective CI runs from 2026-08-14 / 2026-09-04 onward). PRs
from before 2026-08-14 (e.g. #2186, #2187) still show a green validate from their last run.

Suggest checking whether VyOS-Networks/vyos-docs-opus-reviewer was renamed/moved/made private, and updating the workflow's checkout source accordingly
