XML definitions use u32 type for ranges exceeding uint32 max value
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG

Description

The following XML node definitions specify u32 as the data type, but their range values exceed the uint32 maximum (4,294,967,295).

Affected Paths

  1. service lldp interface location coordinate-based elin
    • XML range: u32:0-9999999999
    • Max value 9,999,999,999 exceeds uint32 max (4,294,967,295)
  1. vpn ipsec esp-group life-bytes
    • XML range: u32:1024-26843545600000
    • Max value 26,843,545,600,000 exceeds uint32 max (4,294,967,295)
  1. vpn ipsec esp-group life-packets
    • XML range: u32:1000-26843545600000
    • Max value 26,843,545,600,000 exceeds uint32 max (4,294,967,295)

Suggested Fix

Update the source XML definitions for the 3 nodes above from u32 to u64 so the types match the actual value ranges:

  • u32:0-9999999999 → u64:0-9999999999
  • u32:1024-26843545600000 → u64:1024-26843545600000
  • u32:1000-26843545600000 → u64:1000-26843545600000
