Support captive portal identification in IPv6 router advertisements (RFC 8910)
Closed, ResolvedPublicFEATURE REQUEST

Description

Background:

RFC 8910 describes DHCPv4, DHCPv6, and IPv6-RA options that can be used to indicate to connected clients that they are behind a captive portal, providing an RFC 8908-compliant HTTPS endpoint that clients can query to get more information about the captive environment.

Feature request:

VyOS currently has support for RFC 8910 through DHCPv4/v6 via support for captive portal identification in Kea, through its options v4-captive-portal and v6-captive-portal respectively.

The requested feature is to also support RFC 8910 through IPv6-RA via radvd, through its AdvCaptivePortalAPI configuration option. This option takes a quoted URL as its value.
