Can't use DHCPv6 server to assign address from DHCPv6-PD's prefix (get from BRAS)
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

The carrier company assigns a prefix to me by DHCPv6-PD dynamically.

And SLAAC works fine on some of my device, but there's some device has poor SLAAC support, and it only accepts DHCPv6.

So I try to configure a DHCPv6 server on my LAN interface, and I don't know how to make assign address from DHCPv6-PD's prefix.

Seems the only way to setup a DHCPv6 server have to specify a static IPv6 prefix, which I don't have. Is it possible to setup a DHCPv6 server and use the interface address as the address pool, or specify it by DHCPv6-PD?
