Explicitly set the default reverse proxy mode to HTTP
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

If mode is left undefined for a frontend (service) or backend in haproxy.cfg, HAProxy will default to using HTTP mode.

To avoid ambiguity over which mode reverse-proxy shall use when not explicitly set in VyOS, we should set http as the default-value for the mode configuration node.
This will not change any logic, as HAProxy is already using HTTP when not explicitly set to use TCP.
