Hey, The current PPPoE configuration options are extremely limited. In this Feature request, I'll list what I would love to see changed.
- These settings should be controllable separately for IPv4 and IPv6.
- no-default-route
- default-route-distance
- use-peer-dns
I am running into frustrating problems because I can't control these individually for ipv4 and ipv6.
- As a general rule, Please DO NOT make settings like "autoconf" which do some thing weird/not well documented stuff in the background. If it's slaac, Please specify that as a setting. If it's dhcpv6 please specify that as a setting. This is the sort of thing that's done in stuff like openwrt. The same setting acts one way today and may act completely differently some time in future. Then, It's difficult and extremely annoying for people to figure out what's going on when they try to search for it.
I _know_ my isp uses dhcpv6 on the pppoe interface. Why should my vyos router send Router solicitation messages ?? Please make the config to be more precise with stuff like this.
